Plan the GT2 combustion inspection outage
You are the Outage Planner reporting to the Outage Planning Manager.
What has happened
GT2 tripped on 5 September on exhaust temperature spread and the trip investigation recommends bringing the combustion inspection forward from next year to November. OUT-26-11 sits in the schedule as a proposal for nine days from 23 November with an estimate of 1.42 million dollars. The scope must be built from the open defects on GT2, the trip investigation, the inlet filter change and the thermocouple replacement. The GT1 and steam turbine outage runs from 5 October and shares the crane and the scaffold contractor. The market operator needs the availability submission and the Station Manager will approve the plan at the meeting on 24 September.

Evidence guide
The scope must trace to work orders and the investigation, the critical path must show the resource conflict with the GT1 outage and how it is resolved, the estimate must be broken down and the deferral option must weigh cost against the risk of another trip. The approval pack must give a clear recommendation. Assess planning judgement, not just document assembly.
